Some heroes have a strong will to live. Others are the ones who draw the first blood. Two of the most renowned ’80s movie franchises, Rambo and Die Hard, are heading to Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Mobile, kicking off the most action-packed community event ever for Call of Duty.
Fans may play as ultimate survivor Rambo (rights via STUDIOCANAL) or unknowing hero John McClane for a short time as they drop into Verdansk, endure all-out conflict in Nakatomi Plaza, and battle throughout Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer levels from Standoff to Nuketown ’84 and more.
“The combination of Call of Duty, Die Hard, and Rambo in this fresh new style is an incredible combo of franchises, tailor-made for our fans. Within Call of Duty, gamers may take on the roles of some of entertainment’s most renowned action heroes for a short time. We’re providing our gamers new guns, gear, objectives, modes, and even a Die Hard-inspired setting called Nakatomi Plaza, in addition to Rambo and John McClane. Call of Duty general manager Johanna Faries stated, “We’re tremendously pleased to deliver amazing content and experiences for Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Mobile.”
New playable iconic Operators across all platforms, new film-inspired points of interest and missions in Warzone, new limited-time modes in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, a themed multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Mobile, plus new ’80s themed weapons, cosmetics, and more are all part of the limited-time Call of Duty ’80s Action Heroes content, which launches today.
In addition to the new Rambo and Die Hard themed content, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a slew of new content available as part of the Season Three Reloaded celebration, including a new 6v6 multiplayer map Standoff, a new Multi-Team Multiplayer map Duga, and a new Multi-Team Elimination mode, as well as new operators, weapons, and more. In addition, today’s mid-season release includes a slew of new Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak content, including a new main objective for the first time in Outbreak, a new encounter with the terrifying Orda roaming the Ural Mountains, and a slew of new mysteries and surprises to discover.
According to Activision internal estimates, this ‘80s Action Movie limited-time crossover event and Season Three Reloaded follow Call of Duty’s continued momentum across the franchise, including surpassing more than 100 million players in Warzone and more than 500 million downloads of Call of Duty: Mobile worldwide.
