What is Apple AirTag?
AirTag is a simple way to keep track of your belongings. One goes on your keys, and the other goes in your bag. And just like that, they’re on your radar in the Find My app, where you can even hunt down your Apple devices and keep up with friends and relatives.
How does Apple AirTag work?
Your AirTag emits a stable Bluetooth signal that is detectable by nearby Find My network users. These devices submit your AirTag’s location to iCloud, where you can view it on a map in the Find My app. To secure your identity, the whole procedure is private and encrypted. There’s no need to be concerned with battery life or data use because it’s effective.
The Find My software can be used to communicate with AirTag. The AirTag can be used to play a sound from the smartphone. iPhones with the U1 chip will use “Precision Tracking” to provide exact distance and direction to an Air Tag. Precision tracking makes use of ultra-wideband technology which is most effective at distances of 40 feet or less.
By using Bluetooth signals from other anonymous iOS and iPadOS devices around the world, AirTags can be found on a map inside the Find My app. An iOS/iPadOS system will warn you if someone else’s AirTag appears to be with you, rather than with them, for an extended period of time, to help avoid unnecessary monitoring. If an Air Tag is out of sight of every Apple computer for longer than three days, it will continue to beep to notify the owner that an AirTag has been inserted in their belongings.
Users will report a missed AirTag and leave a phone number and address. The “identify missing object” feature inside the Find My app, which uses near-field communication (NFC) technology, allows any iPhone user to see this phone number and address. In addition, Android phones with NFC will recognize an AirTag by tapping it, which will take them to a page with the message and phone number.
Long Battery Life : AirTag is designed to last for over a year on a single battery that can be quickly replaced. And your iPhone will warn you when it’s time to replace it.
Splish & Splash Proof : Assume you’ve tagged your keys and, by accident, dropped them in a puddle. Or they’re in the midst of a massive leak. That’s all right. Your AirTag is impervious to water.
Initial it & Emoji it. : You will get your AirTag personalised with your initials when you order it from apple.com/in. It’s an emoji. Or you might do both. It’s simple and cheap, and it’s entertaining.
